Can CBD get you high?

Over the last several years, the negative stigma surrounding CBD has faded away and many are now coming to realize some of the health benefits this cannabinoid can offer.  Based on our research, many baby boomers who lead an active lifestyle are always on the lookout for ways to maintain their independence.

The short answer to the question, “can CBD get you high?” is a resounding no.  In years past, many people associated CBD hemp with marijuana due in part to the psychoactive agent THC.  But since the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill, also known as the Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018, congress made hemp and CBD legal in all 50 states.

Hemp farmers across America have honed their skills and can now grow crops with a THC level of 0.3% THC.  This is a very low amount of THC and would not be enough to create any kind of uncomfortable psychoactive effect.  Farmers must have their hemp crops tested by an independent third-party laboratory.  These labs test ensure that THC levels do not exceed 0.3%.  If these levels are exceeded, that hemp crop must be destroyed.

If you are still wondering “can CBD get you high?” you can feel certain that the last thing a reputable CBD company wants to happen is for you to have an unpleasant experience with any of their products.  After CBD oil is extracted from the hemp plant, you can create a variety of different product including CBD tinctures (oil), edibles and topicals.

The number of different CBD product options will only increase as we move into this exciting new time in our future.  Also, as more research studies are conducted, we will learn more about the health benefits of the hemp plant.
